La Garenne-Colombes, September 7th, 2021 – ip-label, an independent software vendor providing measurement of end-user experience in over 25 countries, today announces the transfer of the company to two acquirers, Philippe Borfiga and Pierre Montcel.
The two acquirers will co-chair the group. They plan to develop ip-label into a European leader in the marketplace of digital experience management (DEM), with the aim of improving user experience as a whole with a strategy of multi-domain monitoring.
The Albarest Partners investment management company and Bpifrance are taking a majority stake alongside the acquirers to endow ip-label with the financial means to back its strategic development plan.
Founded some twenty years ago, the ip-label group has developed a suite of software solutions which have been rolled out to 1000 customers around the world. These solutions handle over 10 billion data items per day to measure the availability of digital services and analyze the performance of applications on intranets as well as the internet using its network of over 230 measurement points worldwide.
ip-label’s team of consultants assists customers within the group’s new strategy to broaden user experience measurement with the implementation of an end-to-end monitoring cockpit displaying a full range of metrics, from business software to IT infrastructures and networks.
Ekara is real disruptive technology that can identify and diagnose malfunctions in customers’ digital services on internet platforms or intranet applications (web, mobile, business, thick client, Citrix, voice, etc.) on any type of device (desktop, mobile). Ekara caters for all environments, including cloud (Azure, AWS, Google, OVHcloud, Alibaba Cloud, etc.).
Ekara is within the reach of all user profiles, both technical and non-technical, because of its “no code” philosophy. Ekara Studio, for example, offers intuitive tools that enable non-technical people to create their own user journeys without any training in scripting.
Ekara therefore addresses users across the departments of an organization (sales, marketing, logistics, business, finance, HR, etc.). The solution can correlate IT technical metrics with business KPIs, integrating them on a single platform in a single monitoring interface available in SaaS and on-premise formats.
Philippe Borfiga and Pierre Montcel have over 20 years’ experience between them in American and French digital services companies. They have played diverse roles in general management, taking on development, strategic repositioning of services, digital transformation, and organization centered on business solution integration. They have worked together for several years at EDS (Electronics Data System before it became DXC Technology).
“ip-label is positioned in a promising market with its highly innovative and competitive Ekara product,” affirms Philippe Borfiga, co-chairman of ip-label. “The technical platform and the expertise of the teams are real competitive differentiators. Ekara Studio puts user experience measurement within reach for non-technical people. With Ekara, our ambition is to become the European leader in digital experience management (DEM).”
“With the ip-label group, we want to develop a Premium Service approach to increase the benefits expected by the different kinds of professionals within the enterprise,” adds Pierre Montcel, co-chairman of ip-label. “Backed by French and European financial partners, we are very enthusiastic about pursuing the ip-label group’s ambitions of rising to the challenges of tomorrow’s digital transformation. We intend to make it the reference in French technology.”
Since 2001, ip-label has been helping enterprises to manage and optimize the performance of their critical applications. Its user-centric products and services empower organizations to improve the availability and response times of their applications, motors of business success, with a view to growing their audience, revenues, and productivity.
